Find People Fast with Net Detective

I had some very close friends when I was in high school, but we drifted apart after we went to separate colleges. This was just before email became a regular fixture in everyone's lives, so keeping in touch took quite a bit more effort. My buddies and I exchanged some letters during freshman year of college, but once we met new people and immersed ourselves in our new lives, the correspondence tapered off and eventually ended altogether.

Every now and then, when I'm bitten by the nostalgia bug, I start wondering what became of my old pals. Not many of them are on Facebook or MySpace (we're a bit old for those types of sites), so I decided to try Net Detective and see if I could find people that way. Net Detective has been around for a long time, and remains the No.1 people search tool out there. I wanted to discover firsthand if it lived up to the hype.

It's very easy to join Net Detective online. There's no software to install or anything like that; you simply go to the website, fill out your information, and place your order. It costs $29 for a one-year membership, which entitles you to an unlimited number of people searches. I thought the membership fee was pretty reasonable, so I went ahead and signed up.

Access to the Net Detective search tools was instantaneous once my credit card information was processed. There are several basic searches that you can perform on the site, including the very popular People Search. This allows you to type in a first name, middle initial, last name, and state for the person you want to find. If the person is in the database, you'll get some relevant information back, including a current address and phone number (if it's listed). Net Detective claims to use more powerful search tools than the free people finders, so you could get better results from this site than from other places.

The online Net Detective membership also entitles you to a bunch of extra goodies, including interesting articles about the most effective ways to search for people and stuff about how to request files from the FBI under the Freedom of Information Act. In addition, you can search by phone number (to return the resident's name and address), by business name, and by neighboring properties. I don't anticipate needing to use these extra features, but I guess it's good they're available.

Thus far, I've been able to locate six members of my old high school crew thanks to the Net Detective search tools! I truly wasn't expecting to have such great success with the site, so I'm pleasantly surprised by these results. If you're looking to reconnect with friends or relatives that you haven't talked to in ages, then I suggest signing up for Net Detective right now!
